ALEXANDER CHAUSHIAN, 'cello. Alexander
started to play the 'cello at the age of seven; from 1992-5 he
studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and from 1995-9 at the
Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has won many notable
awards, including First Prize in the Premio Mozart Competition
in Verona, First Prize in the International Music Competition
in Holland, and Third Prize in the International Tchaikovsky
Competition in Moscow. He has performed in many of the world's
leading venues.
YEVGENY SUDBIN, piano. The Daily Telegraph
hailed Yevgeny as “potentially one of the greatest pianists of
the 21st Century”. He has performed extensively throughout the
world, with many of his performances broadcast on radio and
television. At the age of seven he entered the specialist music
school of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. His performance for
us in the autumn of 2007 was one of the highlights of our
musical year.
