The Trio is comprised of Leos Cepicky (leader of the
internationally renowned Wihan Quartet, who played for us last
season), Gemma Rosefield (winner of the Pierre Fournier Award
2007, and returning to us after a few years) and the leading
pianist Michael Dussek who is a Professor and Fellow of the
Royal Academy of Music. Formed by Gemma there was an immediate
rapport between the members of the Trio and they gave a very
successful series of concerts in March 2008 which included
recitals at Blackheath Halls and theWigmore Hall in London.
Their performance at the Belfast Festival in November 2008 of
works by Martinu and Novak was recorded by the BBC and
broadcast earlier this year.
